Oh, hi. I didn't see you standing there. I apologize, I didn't mean to get that all over your face. I know, I know, it's a bitch to get out of hair. I'm really sorry.
Yes, a post. What prompted a post? Me getting several eljay emails recently to remind me this exists. Woot. Also PINO bitching at me, and Califur.
Yeah, I was at califur from 8pm Saturday to 4:30am Sunday. I had fun, pissed some people off, and left. Califur was my third time having alcohol to consume since FC. I shoulda drank more of it; it makes me tolerant of body oder and stupid.
It was awesome seeing some of you again. I didn't have a bad moment, because I am opting to not remember any of them. Except for 2 talking loudly at the bar about pedophilia and zoophilia not being the individuals faults; that was almost enough to get me to put my martini down and suggest that conversation move somewhere other than the public fuckin' lobby, where people can go ahead and form their opinions based on overheard conversation snippets.
I suited for a bit. Likeshine finally got her picture with GC, and I hope it was as inappropriate as I recall. I didn't see Statik even once, which was kind of amazing. I saw Voy a lot, and got Voy to show his sock to a lot of people. I dun got to hung out with Blaez and Tally and Amsel and GGGGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOREEE. I had fun, and I left, and I'm glad. Good times ended without anything catching fire.

There, that's more of a con report than you got with FC. Now perhaps the next time people see me, I won't get asked "Dude, you're alive?" and "I thought Amsel ate you since she's posting on LJ and you vanished!"

Some of you probably heard me say "Oh, I quit drinking." Some of you also saw me drinking. Let me clarify for you.
I quit drinking at home, during the week, at bars, and at most social events. Since FC I have had exactly two events that I have had anything to drink at: Friday night back in May when we were camping (Sober saturday and saturday night), and Saturday night at Califur. I also had a couple shots of Jaeger at home sometime back in April, which brings the count to three. I'm a happier person for it, as I needed to break the alcoholic streak and I have done so. I no longer need my acid reflux meds as long as I'm not eating stupid shit. I've lost 25-30 lbs (I fluctuate 5lb, so I guess it depends on the day). I stopped beating my wife. My kids are honor roll students. I got a big promotion at work. Hookers pay ME for the privilage of swallowing my dicksnot. Chuck Norris asked me to teach him in the ways of Iron Will.
No, I haven't quit smoking. No, I don't think I'm going to make an effort into getting back into posting here. It could happen, but it seems unlikely. Or maybe because this time I'm saying I won't bother, I actually will.
Ah well. I'll see some of you in 9 days. The rest? FC I suppose, and probably not a moment before. Try not to get too much in your eye, it itches like hell. |

It's been a while, and I'd apologize for that but let's face it: It isn't worth apologizing for.
My life: Working, playing city of heroes way too fuckin' much because it's the best escape I have without booze (among other things), mild socialization.
Yes, without booze. I was dry for 34 days, then had two drinks and a shot over 6 hours and didn't even manage to find a buzz, so I guess my "sober" day count in google chat will continue going up.
Saw GORE, Charlotte, and Chase this weekend. Enjoyable! Chase is sadly moving in two days, but it's been a pleasure having him around over the past month.

Yes, I fail at updating.
So, fun weekend. Did a LAN party with some old friends of mine. Total blast.
FC this week, in theory. Why theory? There's a check for $2500 that I really really need that's here somewhere...no idea where. It has vanished completely. $2k was going off to the IRS, and 500 was to cover FC (Gas, food, room, registration for 2). As the check no longer exists, my FC funds no longer exist. Amsel tore the place up today trying to find it, and I've given it a once over as well. The thing seems to have poofed into thin air.
GDMFPOS.
I can most likely get the check replaced, so the IRS will get their 2 grand, but I wouldn't have the check until mid February based on how fast these things get processed.
This complicates things deeply, as one might imagine. GORE, Charlotte, I'll figure something out one way or another. Worst case, I can pay half the room and transfer it to Charlotte's name so you two aren't hosed. If we end up being unable to make it, I can prolly make arrangements with LV to have you pick up Amsel's suit as well.
I'm gonna stick with being an optimist and assume that check will show up or that I find a way to stick the $500 in the budget without having to hit my meager savings.
EDIT: Niko, GORE, Charlotte, could you check your sketch books / art crap / whatever? It was still here when ya'll were here, and I thought I had it out in the kitchen...but I could be wrong. Either way, if ya could check to make sure it didn't end up in your papers, that'd be awesome.
EDIT #2: No check, but I have found the money to manage the trip without touching savings or leaving us screwed. Haven't figured out if I can find the $100 for regging 2 people yet or not, but at the least we'll be there! |

Oi, what a weekend.
Rockstarpup, Zotjew, SLuF, Ahketnu, GORE, Malice, Chase, Amsel, and myself had a nice new years eve. Bit o' the drinking, and went to bed at 5:30am. Yay.
Rockstar stayed until oh, 10pm tonight. Statik was up last night hanging out until this evening. Dicks toast etc. Good times.
I accomplished nothing of interest, other than listened to a lot of music, ate some good food, and listened to a lot of music.

2am, can't sleep. HATE.
I'm missing the girl as usual, since I haven't heard a peep from her since I left on Friday night. This isn't anywhere near abnormal (me missing her, and her being scarce) when she's out of town, but I'm apparently still not used to it.
My roommate finished moving all his crap out today. Well, pretty much all his crap. I need to find a steam cleaner, his carpet is friggin awful. ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) crolack, I may have to borrow yours again if it's available. Now I've got to try to make this place somewhat less of a shithole before New Years. There's stuff all over from being dumped off shelves and moved around in attempts to get the roommate's crap out. Don't wanna leave a general distruction zone for Amsel to see when she gets home.
Christmas was nice. The gifts we gave were apparently liked, and the gifts received were much appreciated. I got a groovy chopper thingy that I'd been eyeballing every time we were in Sacramento, and some cool tea stuff from Amsel's mom and Jerry. I got a couple funny f'n shirts from my roommate Matt. Oh, all kinds of random stuff in the stocking as well...apparently Amsel's mom is HUGE on doing stockings. I must say, she did it up right. I'm still picking around in all the schtuff that was in there. Oh hey, itunes gift card as well. I should really input that because I'm likely to forget.
Amsel made me a new dice bag, which I needed badly. I have too many of the bloody things, and my old bag wasn't big enough. I <3 it muchly!
All in all, a very nice trip. Darts was fun, and the food was amazing as always. I'm guessing we'll be back around Easter as that seems to be a trend...any holiday that involves food involves Sacramento...and I'm not about to bitch.
PS: Maverick is not only one of the smartest dogs I've met, he's also friggin cool looking. Crazy greyhounds are made of win and love and awesome. |

So I sit down, get comfortable, then look up. Someone has left a newspaper hanging over the door of the stall. Right at the bottom is a picture of a man holding a sign saying, "Arnold put away the meat ax."
Hehe...meat axe. An axe for meat, or slang for genitalia? I do not know!
Either way, I think I'm going to start refering to my dick as a meat axe.

They've canceled the 2 weeks the company takes off (starting next week), so everyone will be here. I now have to work both xmas eve and the day after xmas.
I'm going to try to get the day after xmas off, but it looks like at this time I'm going to be driving to sacramento late christmas eve, and driving home sometime christmas day evening. |

I'm still employed, but my roommate isn't. He just got laid off and will be moving out effective immediately.
Oh, and the IRS sent me a certified letter today about some back taxes. Money just can't be my friend right now it would seem.
Things are gonna be tight and suck for the foreseeable future. Don't expect to see me out and about terribly much. |
